GeoGraphics Laboratory Internet Mapping Application Projects

• Landfalling Hurricane Project
  Displays landfalling hurricane information for eleven regions and 205 counties along the U.S. coastline from Brownsville, TX to Eastport, ME, as well as the Caribbean Islands and Central America. Also displayed are probabilities of landfall in 2009 based upon William Gray's seasonal forecast issued at Colorado State University. This is a joint project between the GeoGraphics Lab and Dr. Gray's Tropical Meteorology Project at Colorado State University.
• Cape Cod Regional Transit planner demo
  This prototype demonstrates the features of Google Maps in presenting bus routes, bus stop infomation, and real time bus location. It is a work in progress(works best with Firefox).
  
  

• Framingham (Ma) LIFT bus transit planner demo
  This prototype demonstrates the features of Google Maps in presenting bus routes and bus stop infomation. It is a work in progress.
  
• Cape Cod Bus Estimated Time of Arrival System
  This system presents bus arrival time predictions.
• Cape Cod Bus Advanced Travel Planner
  Shows the bus routes in Cape Cod and the locations of the buses in real time.
• 2006 MDT Use in Transit Study Research Documents
  Use of Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs) in the Transit Industry – A Synthesis Study of Transit Practice has been conducted by Mr. Lawrence Harman and Dr. Uma Shama as a part of the Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) managed by the National Academies Transportation Research Board (TRB). The Appendices, Figures, Tables, and other documents prepared for this Synthesis Study (TCRP SC-08) has been provided for the use of transit researchers and transit professionals. It is provided by the researchers and hosted by the GeoGraphics Laboratory for the convenience of our transit colleagues and is not associated with the National Academies, the Transit Cooperative Research Program, and the Transportation Research Board.
